Infections and skin ulcers can be alleviated with garlic, onion, honey and turmeric
|Ulcers on the skin should never be physically treated, to squeezed and punctured, because then the infection of the deep layers of the skin and soft tissue can occur.
Infections and ulcers on the skin can occur due to circulatory problems, injuries, pressure or irritation, but also the action of some bacteria. If left untreated, they can progress from mild to more serious conditions such as chronic wounds or more dangerous infections.
Infections and skin ulcers can lead to complications
Sometimes, and in fact in most cases, skin ulcers and infections go away on their own, with regular hygiene and without any physical pressure on the irritated area. It is most dangerous to squeeze, physically remove or drain ulcers. Then there can be a stronger infection, the spread or spread of bacteria and more serious complications such as, for example, cellulite. In that case, infection of the deep layers of the skin and soft tissue can also occur.
In severe cases, blood poisoning by bacteria (septicemia) can occur, and the infection can spread to the bones and joints. One of the biggest complications is certainly gangrene. In the case of milder forms, infections and ulcers on the skin, or their symptoms, can be alleviated by some natural preparations.
Turmeric can alleviate infections and skin ulcers
Turmeric contains curcumin, an ingredient that has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antioxidant properties. Curcumin is the reason why turmeric can help heal skin wounds. After cleansing the affected skin, preferably with water, apply turmeric powder to the ulcer. Then cover with a clean bandage. You need to test on the inner part of the upper arm beforehand if you may be allergic.
This also applies to all other natural preparations, if you have not used them before. Follow the changes, whether the symptoms of the ulcer are stabilizing and reducing. If you have any reaction, stop the treatment immediately, and rinse well with lukewarm water.
Onion and garlic
Cut one slice of ripe onion and screw it to the place where the ulcer is. Put sterile gauze over it, and repeat it three times a day. If you do not mind the intense smell of garlic, it is an even more effective help. It has strong antimicrobial, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties. Squeeze a few presses in the press and add a few drops of olive oil, until you get a compact mixture. Gently apply to washed and dry ulcers. You can also toast one slice on the stove or hob and put it directly on the ulcer. Hold for ten minutes, and repeat no more than three times a day.
Honey helps and disinfects
Honey has proven strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. The reason is the content of natural sugar and substances called polyphenols. Studies have shown that honey is highly effective in eliminating bacteria, especially in the case of skin disorders.
Polenta drains well and heals inflammation
You will make the polenta mixture by adding a full spoonful of polenta to 15 milliliters of warm water. Stir well, and if the mixture is thin, add more polenta. It should be thick, like porridge. Apply to the affected area and protect with sterile gauze. You are free to repeat the procedure several times a day.
Salt water or saline soothes infections and ulcers
Saline solution is a sterile mixture of distilled water and salt. It is effective and recommended for cleaning and removing dead skin from ulcers. Ordinary saline contains only 0.9 percent salt, so it should not irritate the ulcer. It can be bought at a pharmacy or you can make it yourself. Add one tablespoon of common table salt to a liter of boiled and cooled (if possible) distilled water. Clean and rinse the area affected by the ulcer no more than three times a day.
